Took this bad boy on a river trip with no set camping spots - knew we’d need hammocks since we’d be camping on steep hillsides on the riverbank, and knew we’d need big nets as well (I am someone who gets chomped no matter what turbo chemicals I’ve used). Hammock is a breeze to set up after a single practice run. I was a little nervous about setting up a tarp over it since the bars for the mesh make it wider at the top, but it was no problem at all. Using an underquilt was tricky and I opted to do a low inflation on a sleeping pad inside the hammock instead, and there’s enough room for that to work too. Honestly what was I even doing before getting this???? Huge upgrade, huge quality of life improvement for wild camping! Keep a Tecnu wipe in the bag for your feet and you can happily camp above an ocean of poison ivy! Ask me how I know!
Before I got the adventure sheet I was using a foldable picnic blanket from Costco. The adventure sheet packs down so much easier and smaller that I dont know what I was thinking with our old picnic blanket! Will probably get another one!
Really cool seat. I’ve carried on nearly every day hike I’ve been on since getting it. Easy to set up and packs back up easily. Have been recommending to several other people.
When I’ve had a long hard day at work. I simply find my hammock and kick my shoes off and evrything seems to melt away! I love the quality of grand trunks hammocks. The way they lay is super comfy. The stitching allows for you to find several different positions to rest. They’ve got great colors and patterns. Will be ordering more from grand trunk!
