The rapid spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) has had a profound impact on all of us. Our thoughts are with those who have been directly or indirectly affected by the situation, and we would like to thank you for your continued support in making Grand Trunk the best hammock brand in the world. We’d be nothing without you!
Our home state of Illinois issued a “Stay at Home” order on Friday, March 20 that lasts at least through April 7. While we do not plan on shutting down completely during this time, please be aware that there may be delays in the shipment of your orders. If the situation requires us to stop shipping orders, we will update the site immediately to ensure nobody places an order that we can’t ship.
We want you to know that we are taking every precaution to protect our team and our customers. Our GT HQ team is working from home and we're also following strict sanitation procedures, and are closely monitoring the health of everyone on our team. Our warehouse team hero will continue to operate limited hours and ship all orders. We hope you’re able to use this time in isolation to reconnect with the things that are really important in life. Spend quality time with your family, get some fresh air outdoors (there’s no better time for a backyard hammock session!), learn something new, and decompress from the stresses of the day-to-day rat race.
I believe there’s a silver lining to this whole thing. Once this is all over and we’re able to gather in public again, we’ll have a different perspective on life. Let’s hope this brings out the best of the human race, where we can come together as one, help your neighbor, do good and be nice. Take time to call loved ones and friends you haven’t spoken to in a while, say I love you to people close to you.
