Valentine’s day can be a stressful time of year, whether you’re in a relationship or not. Guys, the pressure’s on to setup the perfect day. From the flowers, to the gift, to the dinner, making your person feel special can be tough. Ladies, wanting to have a great day on February 14th can be a bit nerve racking too, especially if you don’t have that special someone to share it with. Worry not, we are here to help you stand out! Here are some of our favorite out of the box suggestions for Valentine’s Day. Hammocks included, of course!
The Flowers
Flowers are timeless. What is said when you give flowers is clear and unwavering. But what if you want to mix it up a bit? For our money, there’s not much better than Shari’s Berries. Shari has everything. Think dipped strawberries, chocolates, caramel marshmallow pops, love bug brownie pops, dipped cherries, chocolate-dipped Oreo® cookies, dipped pretzels and red velvet cake truffles. Mmmmm, and guess what? They’ve got last second discounts for all you slackers out there!
The Gift
Gifting can be sooo tough. Christmas is hard enough but Valentine’s Day adds another level of importance to the gift. Jewelry is usually the crowd favorite around this time, but what if you’re not quite at that level? What if you’ve recently given jewelry or maybe you just can’t afford it? What then?
We may be biased, but Hammocks make a great gift. They’re a fun, affordable, creative way to tell someone that you care. What says “I Love You” like snuggling up in a double hammock?? And best of all you can do it together! Hammocking is a social sport.
The Dinner
Valentine’s dinner is all about setting aside one night in your busy life to spend quality time with that person that you care about most. It’s not about spending heaps of cash at a gaudy restaurant. Every couple has a spot or an activity that means a lot to them so why not find that special place and spend the evening there?
Here’s a couple ideas we love:
1. Head to your local park and having an evening under the stars.
Here's a couple recipes for tasty goodies.
2. Cuddle up with a cozy blanket after a romantic night hike.
3. Find a beautiful spot and just hang…
Whatever it is just enjoy the time you have and make the most of it. And if your special someone is you... what the hell, treat yourself to all three!
