This is a purchase that I am SO very happy about! It is simple to put together, and it was great for my kayak camping trip. It worked! I took the advice from other hammock sets to spray it with bug repellent as to avoid my 🍑 from getting bit while asleep, and it worked. Just be sure to purchase the separate hook set; bit otherwise, I would recommend this a thousand times over. The only problem I encountered was with shipping so do order this at 5 days in advance.

LOVE this hammock

I've had this hammock for 8 years, taken to the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness several times. Set up at our permanent campground when I'm not hiking. I also own more expensive hammocks that just don't compare to the comfort of my Skeeter Beater. The more expensive ones are narrower and shorter than my GT making shoulder squish an issue. I couldn't imagine a better hammock especially for the price until I saw the Skeeter Beater XT... Might have to get that one too.

Bikepacking

Used this for the first time on a bikepacking trip. It packs super small and light making it easy to bring along. I love the Mosquito net already attached and the zippers worked great too. I did have to readjust the lines used for the net a couple times due to them coming untied. Great sleeping option for a wide range of temps. It got down to just below 50 at night.

Great hammock

I had this hammock for 7 years, my parents gave me this when I was young before I though much of camping

I outgrew, because it became a bit small and I sold it in near perfect condition as I upsized (I was 6ft)

The quality and strength of the hammock and net is great, just make sure it is long enough for you

Here are some personal stories of its great quality:

When I was young messing around still leaning the limits of hammocks my sibling was seining me wildly, and I was swinging with it too much and flipped out of the hammock while inside the net, fortunately I was only 3ft from the ground, the net was suddenly pulled to its limit with most of my weight on three points but it didn’t tear and I was able to unzip it and get out without harming the net

Myself with 2 friends when younger (around 100lbs) would wildly swing and bounce around (hammock flipped so the bug net was out of the way), never tore or had issue with weight

My brother with his own same type of hammock slept walked and tried getting out of the hammock as if there was no bug net, with all the sleeping gear flipped onto the net as he stood up thru the net the net tore where he was but not where his water bottle, blankets, and flash light hung suspended in the net. He used the hammock even after the torn net with no further issues
