Bought these chairs for a recent trip to the beach. We fly in so there is not room to take big loungers. These packed up and fit in my checked bag fine. It would have fit in a carryon also if I was on a shorter trip. The chairs are low so you get that relaxing on the beach feel. I had both chairs set up in less than 5 minutes. My wife had no problems, she was lounging on the beach and sitting there comfy on top of the sand. I weigh more than her and as I shifted in the chair I slowly sank into the sand. I was noticeably lower than her after an hour. My next purchase will be a ground sheet or big beach blanket to keep me from sinking. They are very comfortable. I spent the afternoon lounging, reading a book and enjoying the ocean. Additional information - I bought two chairs and one of the chairs had an obstruction in the frame and it would not assemble. I contacted customer service and they had a replacement chair on the way the next day. Great product, great customer service. Will buy from again. Last thing - if you are a veteran or active duty you must sign up for the military discount - one of the best I have every used!
I use this stool when I hike out in the field to do wildlife photography, and for hanging out at a campsite. It weighs virtually nothing, packs down small, and the 360 degree swivel feature is awesome! This seems well made and will hopefully last for a long time.
